CSB (Current Sharing Board)

In an excitation system operating multiple rectifiers in parallel, due to the irregularity of a firing circuit and a power device, the load distribution rate of rectification tends to be irregular. This causes overheating and thermaliation of a rectifier that handles lots of loads, which in turn causes reduced lifetime and malfuncitons.
A CSB measures the load current of each rectifier and delays the firing signal for the rectifier with the largest load, so that the entire rectifiers share the same loads. A CSB enters into a by pass mode when a mechanical error is detected by the watch dog timer.
In this case, the firing signal input(without intervention of a CPU) is sent to the firing signal output.
